Damai

LOL

It was an okay trip. Just for one night.

The first night, we watched a few movies. 3? Then, we divided ourselves and actually went to sleep. Some slept later than the others. One slept earlier than the rest.

Shirely.

LOL.

We woke up a few times. haha, then at about 8, some of us went for breakfast at the restaurant. Then we went to the beach. The rest enjoyed the feel of the waves at their feet while i enjoy only looking at them rolling in. We played for a little while, trying to get each other wet.
Then, to the swimming pool!

LOL.

a few of us went down only; Shaun, Cho Tzen, Eric, Shirely, Samantha, me
Played around a lot. At one point, Samantha climbed onto my shoulders but i wasn't strong enough to actually hold her still. We ended up falling into water again, again and again.

it was kinda fun. at least there's something to remember about it

Got back today and i hit bed straightaway after unpacking my stuff. Then, i found out that i had to go play badminton with my parents.

Gah.

I dragged Stella to go with me. We played badminton for a while then decided to switch to squash but we never started. Instead, we were playing with the squash balls rolling, throwing it at each other.

Got home. cleaned up, checked mail, felt like blogging and sleep.

:)

Goodnight

Malaysia English vs Britian English
Who says our English is bad?
Ours is simple,short,concise, straight-to-point, effective
The English did invent the English Language, but they cannot use it economically when communicating their intentions. Compare these phrases that Malaysians and Britons use to say the same thing
So, why make things so confusing?

WHEN GIVING A CUSTOMER BAD NEWS
Britons: I'm sorry, Sir, but we don't seem to have the sweater you want in your size, but if you give me a moment, I can call the other outlets for you.
Malaysians: No Stock.

RETURNING A CALL
Britons: Hello, this is John Smith. Did anyone page for me a few moments ago?
Malaysians: Hallo, who page?

ASKING SOMEONE TO MAKE WAY.
Britons: Excuse me, I'd like to get by. Would you please make way?
Malaysians: S-kew me

WHEN SOMEONE OFFERS TO PAY
Britons: Hey, put your wallet away, this drink is on me.
Malaysians:No-need, lah.

WHEN ASKING FOR PERMISSION
Britons: Excuse me, but do you think it would be possible for me to enter through this door?
Malaysians: (pointing to the door) can ar?

WHEN ENTERTAINING
Britons: Please make yourself right at home.
Malaysians: Don't be shy, lah!

WHEN DOUBTING SOMEONE
Britons: I don't recall you giving me the money.
Malaysians: Where got?

WHEN DECLINING AN OFFER
Britons: I'd prefer not to do that, if you don't mind.
Malaysians: Doe-waaaan!

IN DISAGREEING ON A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
Britons: Err. Tom, I have to stop you there. I understand where you're
coming from, but I really have to disagree with what you said about the issue.

Malaysians: You mad, ah?

WHEN ASKING SOMEONE TO LOWER THEIR VOICE.
Britons: Excuse me, but could you please ! lower your voice, I'm trying to concentrate over here.
Malaysians: Shaddap lah!

WHEN ASKING SOMEONE IF HE/SHE KNOWS YOU.
Britons: Excuse me, but I noticed you staring at me for some time. Do I know you?
Malaysians: See what, see what?

WHEN ASSESSING A TIGHT SITUATION.
Britons: We seem to be in a bit of a predicament at the moment.
Malaysians: Die-lah!!

WHEN TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED
Britons: Will someone tell me what has just happened?
Malaysians: Wat happen Why lidat????ADUI!!! (jumping to conclusion)

WHEN SOME ONE DID SOMETHING WRONG
Britons: This isn't the way to do it here let me show you.
Malaysians:Hoi!!!u pig ar lidat also doe no how to do!!!!

WHEN ONE IS ANGRY
Britons: Would you mind not disturbing me
Malaysians:Celaka u/LANCAUUUUUUUU/cibai la/puki mak/pu nya

Same ol' boredom

Nothing much to do today.
woke up about 8 in the morning then went out to eat breakfast with my mum. traffic was bad because today is the voting day.

i've come down with a cold. been sneezing since i've woken up. The tingles!

I went to jade pot, had a nice breakfast and then went to buy books. MAXIMUM RIDE. the first book was introduced by Stella. Yu Yang was kind enough to borrow the two continuous books to me.

Thanks! :)

i found the 2nd and 3rd book but the 4th one isn't out yet. so needa wait. i hate it when this happens.

i will be in sibu tomorrow to visit my grandad. Call me evil or bad but i didn't want to go in the first place. Going there, meeting my cousins, i feel like a total freak. there's only one i can actually talk to and understand. The rest is... just simple chats. I just don't fit in. Speaking bad chinese makes it worse. i can't talk and feel comfortable so i tend to be in the background.

That's my mum's side. My dad's,well... i never met them. so yea.

ahh wells. i'm done. i feel like i'm just writing a report of my day to...no one.

=.=''

signing off.
